More than 50.000 starving children in Gaza need urgent treatment

More than 50.000 children in the Gaza Strip need urgent treatment for acute malnutrition, the United Nations Palestine Refugee Agency (UNRWA) said today.

UNRWA warns that the situation in the Gaza Strip is catastrophic, although its teams are working tirelessly to provide assistance to the families.

The agency points out that Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are starving due to constant restrictions on the delivery of humanitarian aid.

Nearly 37.300 Palestinians have lost their lives in the Gaza Strip, mostly women and children, and nearly 85.200 have been injured since last October, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.
