The non-governmental organization Elite with funding from the EU implemented the project "Rely on the youth" for the development of leadership and management skills in social entrepreneurship as well as technical skills for the realization of social entrepreneurship.

The trainings were organized in Tetovo, Ohrid, Bitola, Kumanovo and Kriva Palanka and over 80 young men and women attended them.

"The aim of these specialized trainings is to help young people and women from rural areas acquire skills and improve their capacity to become more competitive in the labor market, to be able to engage in the community and contribute to the development of the local economy. The fact that a large number of participants stated that they received inspiration, motivation, optimism and guidance for future actions in the field of business gives hope that we have justified the project goal and that we will encourage young people from rural areas to become active stakeholders in the community, "says the Association of female managers ELITE.

The trainings were held by the certified trainer Irena Yakimova, who worked with the participants on topics related to the main functions of managers, leadership styles and skills, familiarization with the basic functions and challenges of every business, strengthening the ability to generate social business ideas and teamwork. In addition, at the trainings through the presentation of real and existing social businesses, the participants had the opportunity to get to know positive examples, best practices, and existing challenges in developing social businesses.

The non-governmental organization Elite, dedicated to gender equality, peace and democracy as well as social justice in Macedonia, advocates for an increased number of women in decision-making positions, which will make women a significant factor in Macedonian society.
