A signed decree for a referendum on the unification of the Zaporozhye region with Russia

The head of the military-civilian administration of the Zaporozhye region, Evgeny Balitsky said today that he signed a decree to hold a referendum on joining this region to Russia.

"I am signing an order to the Central Election Commission to start preparations for a referendum on the unification of the Zaporozhye region with Russia," Balitsky informed at the "Together with Russia" forum, Russian media reported.

The resolution to hold a referendum was read by the member of the main council of the military-civilian administration of the Zaporozhye region, Vladimir Rogov. Earlier, he emphasized that the inhabitants of the Zaporozhye region and Russia are one people.
