Djokovic will play at Roland Garros unvaccinated ?!
Although a few days ago the French Ministry of Sports announced that only vaccinated tennis players will be able to play at Roland Garros, there is a possibility to change the decision.
Namely, today the French Prime Minister Jean Castex said that there is a possibility that the mandatory vaccine will cease to be a condition for entry into the country, although from Monday the decision will enter into force only vaccinated persons can enter France.
"The decision could be suspended if the epidemiological and hospital pressure is significantly reduced in the long run," Castex said.
The final word on this decision will still have the Minister of Health, Olivier Veran.
"We will apply the vaccination pass as long as necessary, but not longer than that," Veran said.
Roland Garros is to be played from May 16 to June 5, and if the situation with the coronavirus improves, Novak Djokovic could also play.
Earlier, Australian authorities revoked Djokovic's visa and barred him from defending his Australian Open title because he was granted a visa with a medical exemption.
