Portugal has provided permanent residency for 7 citizens of Afghanistan

Four adults and three children left Skopje International Airport in the morning via Istanbul for Portugal as their permanent destination.

"These are employees of international organizations and their families who in the past our country has provided temporary shelter as part of an international humanitarian operation to help the pro-democracy population in Afghanistan, which is under threat from the new Taliban government in the country." informed by the Government.

Macedonia is currently providing shelter to 407 citizens of Afghanistan.
