A former director from Bogdanci will be held accountable, the police claim that he allowed debts to expire

The police filed a criminal complaint against RP, former director of the Public Enterprise "Communal Cleanliness" - Bogdanci, to the Gevgelija PJSC.

According to the Ministry of the Interior, "in the time period from 01.01.2019 to 31.12.2022, in his capacity as an official, i.e. employed as a director in a public company, by not performing his official duties, he committed a violation of several provisions of by-laws and contracts".

"He failed to collect debts on the basis of services provided by JP "Communal Cleanliness" Bogdanci, made by natural and legal persons from the municipality of Bogdanci, he did not take into account that all claims from the users were adequately secured through a court or other appropriate procedure before they become obsolete, due to which the debt was missed to be collected from the users of the services, causing a total material damage in the amount of about 360.000 denars to PE "Communal Purity" Bogdanci", reads the statement from the Ministry of the Interior.

According to the police, he committed the crime of "Abuse of official position and authority", foreseen and punishable under Article 353 paragraph 3 in connection with paragraph 1 of the CC.
