Former director of a health facility hired his daughter-in-law, then paid a fine for conflict of interest
Former acting the medical director of a public health institution found himself in a state of conflict of interest because he participated in the employment of his daughter-in-law with a deed contract, the Anti-Corruption Commission concluded.
The SCSC determined that he, during the performance of the function, acting the director of a public health facility, did not ask to be exempted when his son-in-law was employed. In this way, she was employed in the public health institution, and the then acting the director found himself in a situation of conflict of interest and violated the Law on Protection from Corruption and Conflict of Interest.
About this situation, the former acting director paid a fine for an offence. Then he was dismissed by the Ministry of Health.
