Due to high costs, the illegal construction of "Plastičarska" will be partially demolished, it will cost the Municipality of Centar about 5 million denars

The Municipality of Centar is firmly determined to demolish the building on "Plasticharska" street, which has been being built for years without a permit and today is almost at the final stage. According to the mayor Goran Gerasimovski, despite the fact that an action to remove the object was recently agreed, they could not get assistance from the police because, as they were informed by the Ministry of the Interior, they did not have enough policemen due to bomb threats. Because of that, the municipality has again submitted a request for assistance, in order to finally demolish this illegal construction.

On March 8.3.2023, XNUMX, the Municipality of Centar submitted a request to the Ministry of Internal Affairs for assistance in the implementation of the decision of a construction inspector. The action to remove the object is planned for the next period. The mini-tender has been implemented and all legal deadlines have been respected - say the Center.

From there, they explain that the conducted mini-tender is for partial incapacitation of the building, which would make it unusable, because it is, as they say, a huge building for the demolition of which the funds provided in this year's Budget for that purpose do not reach.

About five million denars will be spent just to carry out partial demolition, i.e. disabling. Furthermore, with the rebalancing of the Budget, additional funds will be provided for the building to be completely demolished - the Municipality explains.

The Ministry of the Interior confirms for "Sloboden Pechat" that they will act in accordance with the legal regulations.

We inform you that the Department of Internal Affairs will act in accordance with Article 7 of the Law on Police, which describes all the necessary legal deadlines for police action when assistance is requested from a state authority or institution - say the Ministry.

In the mentioned article of the Law, it is specified that "the competent authority submits the request for assistance to the Police in written form, no later than five days before the implementation of the execution, i.e. five days before the day for which the need for assistance (assistance) is determined." Then, the head of the competent organizational unit, as stated in the law, decides on the method of providing the help (assistance) and informs the petitioner about it in time.

The cost of assistance is also borne by the person requesting the assistance, in this case the Municipality of Centar. The value of the provided assistance is determined per working hour, according to the number of hired workers and kilometers traveled.
