ESM Heat Supply emphasizes that the 2022/2023 heating season started on October 15, but due to the external weather conditions, it lasted longer than usual, that is, it was extended until April 28. But even though the past heating season lasted nine days longer than usual, the average outdoor temperatures in some months were significantly higher than the forecasts used in the calculation of advance invoices.

- That is why the majority of consumers who pay their invoices in 8 and 12 monthly installments (97%) will receive lower settlement invoices compared to advance invoices this heating season. However, the amount of settlement invoices is different for each consumer and depends on the characteristics and energy efficiency of the facility and on the amount of thermal energy delivered to the facility, the company said.

Otherwise, during the heating season, consumers receive information on the amount of energy they have consumed in their heat energy invoices, as well as the amount of the difference between the consumed and forecasted heat energy.

- If during the settlement it is determined that more thermal energy was consumed than was calculated in advance, then the difference is distributed in three equal installments and invoiced accordingly in the bills for the months of May, June and July. If, on the other hand, the consumer paid more in advance than was determined during the measurement of the consumed thermal energy, then he can request a refund of the difference if there are no outstanding debts, ESM heat supply said.
