Polish President Andrzej Duda is visiting China, world agencies reported, stating that the leader of a NATO member country is visiting a country that supported the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

"I try to maintain friendly relations with China. "Poland has always had good relations with China and I would like that to continue," Duda told private radio Zet two days ago.

Today he is expected to meet with Chinese leader Xi Jinping, and according to the Polish president, the topic of how to achieve peace in Ukraine should be discussed. Asked if he thinks China holds the key to peace in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, Duda replied: "I think, to a large extent, yes."

Beijing has declared neutrality in the conflict, while accusing the NATO bloc of expanding and provoking Russian President Vladimir Putin to pressure Ukraine, while maintaining stable trade and diplomatic relations with Moscow.
