Poland is considering plans to follow the example of Estonia and Latvia and restrict Russian citizens' access to visas, DPA reported.

"Poland is working on a concept that will allow Russians not to be issued visas," said Polish Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Piotr Wawczyk today.

The deputy minister emphasized that his country supports the idea of introducing more sanctions by the European Union against Russia due to the war in Ukraine, including the introduction of a ban on issuing visas for Russians at the EU level.

"However, influential countries from the European Union, including Germany, France and the Netherlands, are against it," he emphasized.

Germany and the European Commission are against introducing a ban on issuing visas for Russians at the European level, DPA reported.
