The prime minister of Serbia, Milos Vucevic, said that the prosecutor's office and the police are working to establish criminal responsibility for the accident in Novi Sad, that there is no escaping the decision on political responsibility and that it will be objectively perceived and determined in the coming days.

Prime Minister Vucevic added that political responsibility must exist and that it should be done in a peaceful and responsible manner.

- I spoke with the president of Serbia and we will make that decision with a cool head, rationally, and not with tweets and posts on social networks, Vucevic told reporters in Shanghai, where he is participating in the Chinese import fair.

He pointed out that there is no escape from that decision and that it will be the result of a responsible political discussion and an objective assessment of the situation and that this is not a matter of criminal, but of political responsibility related to the management of the state, the city, the department or a company, and that the crime will be determined by the police and the prosecution, that is, the court.

– We will see what the final decision will be. You don't run away from it, you don't steal time. I think that the most important thing is to understand the pain of the families of those who suffered, to allow what is part of the custom, part of the culture, which is that the families can bury and send off their victims in peace and that everyone they respect that, said Vucevic.

He also said that the investigation is in the hands of the public prosecutor's office and the police, adding that he was informed that they are interrogating and taking statements from everyone who is in the chain of decision-making and making decisions about reconstruction or works at the railway station in Novi Sad.

– Many things are unknown at the moment and the truth must be told. No one has all the data because it is really a very complex question whether it was done or not, if so when it was done and what was done, we are talking about the whole railway station, then how the accident happened, what happened, how is it possible that the construction give in, how is it possible to give in suddenly, said the Serbian Prime Minister.

He noted that there are conflicting opinions from people in the profession and that construction professionals can help and tell what happened.
