Police in Brussels encountered a shocking sight during a drug investigation. In one of the bedrooms of a searched house, a four-month-old baby was found lying among a pile of cocaine.

In addition to finding more than 4 kilograms of cocaine scattered on the bedroom floor and in a toolbox, police found three Kinder eggs filled with cocaine, precision scales and packaging material, reports The Brussels Times.

"During a search of a house among piles of drugs, we discovered that a baby was also growing in that environment," the local criminal investigation department in Brussels said in a statement.

The suspect was handed over to an investigating judge, who arrested him on suspicion of crimes related to possession and sale of drugs in the context of a larger gang.

At the request of the prosecutor's office, an official record is compiled for the minor in danger.

In the living room, the police found another 16.295 euros in cash and seized two cars, a TV and several luxury watches. In addition to the little baby, the suspect's mother-in-law and wife were also present in the house, who was also arrested, but was released after questioning.

Improper parking led to drug bust

The discovery of the drugs by police was more accidental than planned, as a traffic violation prompted the intervention of local investigators.

A car was wrongly parked twice in a row and after checking the car's registration number, the police determined that the car, and in particular the driver, were part of an investigation into the sale of cocaine and that he had been living illegally in Belgium for a lifetime.
