The basic public prosecutor's office in Skopje initiated proceedings against a 69-year-old man from Aračino who is suspected of "violence" against the mayor of the Municipality of Aračinovo. Ridwan Ibrahim.

– The suspect, a 69-year-old from Arachinovo, entered the mayor's office without permission on May 23, forcibly demanding that he be granted land under the authority of the Municipality of Arachinovo. After he did not find him in the office, he met the mayor in the yard, started insulting him rudely, threatening him and behaving violently, according to the announcement from the Public Prosecutor's Office.

From there, they add that in order to ensure the presence of the suspect and the smooth conduct of the criminal proceedings, the public prosecutor submitted to the judge of the preliminary proceedings from the Basic Criminal Court Skopje a proposal for the determination of precautionary measures - the obligation for the suspect to report occasionally to a designated official or to a competent state authority, a ban on visiting the official premises of the Municipality of Arachinovo, as well as a ban on approaching or establishing contacts with the mayor.
