Charges filed against Cedomir Jovanovic, beat a man with a racket and inflicted bodily injuries
The Third Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade has filed an indictment against Cedomir Jovanovic about the incident that happened on July 18, 2020 when the LDP leader beat him with a racket Zarko Ivkovic in front of a clinic in New Belgrade, reports "Nova.rs".
In the wording of the indictment, the prosecutor stated that there was a reasonable suspicion that Jovanovi. Had committed the crime of light bodily injury under Article 122 of the Criminal Code.
The indictment against the LDP leader states that Jovanovic, in a healthy condition, aware of the crime he was committing, inflicted injuries on Ivkovic in the area of his head and arms with a tennis racket.
Then, after the injured Zarko Ivkovic started to move away from him, he went after him and the moment he approached him, he continued to hit him with a tennis racket in the back and arms, due to which the injured party sustained minor injuries.
The prosecution has asked for Jovanovic to be found guilty and given a suspended sentence, with the court imposing a six-month prison sentence, provided Jovanovic does not commit a new crime in the next two years.
