Joe Biden has joked that a potential endorsement of his presidential bid by famous singer Taylor Swift is "classified". Biden appeared on NBC's Late Night with Seth Meyers talk show last night.

When it comes to this year's presidential election, Biden is looking for additional ways how to reach voters, since he has so far largely avoided White House press conferences and television interviews. Biden also skipped the traditional presidential interview before the Super Bowl.

Biden has faced criticism as the most media-shy president in modern times. Since taking office, he has conducted 86 interviews, compared to Trump's 300 and Barack Obama's 422 during the same period of their presidencies.

During the interview, Meyers asked Biden about the conspiracy theory circulating among some conservatives that Taylor Swift's boyfriend and reigning NFL champion Travis Kelce with the Kansas City Chiefs are part of an elaborate plot to help them. for the Democrats to win the November elections.

“Can you confirm or deny that there is an active conspiracy between you and Miss Swift?” Meyers asked.

"Where are you getting this information from, it's classified," Biden responded, adding that Swift had endorsed him for president in 2020.

Biden, who is 81 and the oldest US president ever, also addressed concerns about his age, saying: "You have to look at the other guy, he's as old as I am, but he can't remember the name of his wife."
