Municipality of Strumica in cooperation with JPKD "Komunalec" today started distributing the second bin to households for the selection of plastic waste, within the project "Eco Smart Municipalities".

By awarding 1.200 bins today, the Karposh neighborhood and all the streets from Brača Miladinovi Street to Mito Hadjivasilev Jasmin Street were covered. as and from Kliment Ohridski boulevard to Marshal Tito boulevard.

- With this action, the selection of waste in Strumica officially begins, which in the coming period will gradually expand to the entire territory of the Municipality. We hope for greater environmental awareness among the citizens, which is of utmost importance for the success of this project, which will ensure better waste management and, above all, a healthier and cleaner living environment - informed the Strumica utility company.

The bins who are they marked with a sticker for recycling are provided by JPKD "Komunalec" and the Municipality of Strumica and will be distributed free of charge, and the municipal company will pick up this type of waste every Wednesday with a special vehicle.

"Komunalec" mentions that the new bins are only for disposal of plastic bottles (PET packaging) and cans.
