The son of the famous composer Andrew Lloyd Webber (74), Nicholas Webber, died from stomach cancer, at the age of 43. The sad news was confirmed by Andrew on his Twitter account.

"I am devastated to announce that my beloved elder son Nick passed away a few hours ago at Basingstoke Hospital. The whole family is together and we are all absolutely desperate," wrote the composer.

Rick Miramontez, a spokesman for the legendary composer, told Page Six: “Andrew loved and appreciated Nick's talent as a composer and producer. They were extremely close during Nick's lifetime. "Nick kept his signature good humor to the end."

Andrew previously said that he is going through the most difficult times of his life because of his son's serious illness.

“I am absolutely devastated to have to say that my eldest son Nick is critically ill. As my friends and family know, he has been battling stomach cancer for the past 18 months and Nick is now hospitalized," Weber previously posted on social media.

“Therefore, I was unable to attend the recent 'Bad Cinderella' preview and as things stand, I will not be able to cheer on their cast, crew and orchestra at the premiere this week. We are all praying for Nick to succeed. He is fighting bravely with his irrepressible humor, but right now my place is with him and my family,” he added.

Nicholas, whom Andrew fathered with ex-wife Sarah Hugill, followed in his famous father's footsteps. He scored music for the BBC series Love, Lies and Records, along with the film The Last Bus, and was even nominated for a Grammy after scoring Cinderella in 2021.

Nicholas has revealed in previous interviews that he dropped Lloyd from his surname so that he would not be judged on his father's merits, but on his own merits.
