After a long and difficult illness, the famous businessman Adem Kocan died in Skopje today.

Adem Kocan was born in 1955 in Rozaje, Montenegro, and the same year he and his family moved to Skopje, where he completed primary and secondary education, as well as the Faculty of Economics. After graduation he started working in the then Social Accounting Service as a financial inspector. In 1990 he opened the company "Kanet-company" which deals with consulting and accounting services. From the first years he proves to be a successful businessman, followed by the development of the company and the expansion of the activity in the fields of agriculture, construction, catering…

He also received numerous awards for his work. In 2009, his company "Agro Kanet" was named the most successful in the selection of the Macedonian Enterprise Development Foundation. In 2017 in Sarajevo he received the award for "Best Manager of the region" in the area of ​​Southeast and Central Europe. Kocan was one of the founders of the Association of Chambers of Commerce of Macedonia, as a pioneer of the private business initiative and business. He has won other awards for initiative, inventiveness, entrepreneurship.

During his work, he was often a donor and participant in several humanitarian actions.

The farewell of Adem Kocan will take place tomorrow, November 10, at 13:30 in the mosque in Butel 1, and the funeral at 14:30 in the City Cemetery in Butel.
