Kiril Psaltirov, doyen of the Macedonian theater, died
After a long and difficult illness, Kiril Psaltirov, doyen of the Macedonian theater, died yesterday in Skopje.
He was one of the first generation of actors to graduate from the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Skopje and spent his entire working life at the Macedonian National Theater. There she played numerous roles in the most popular plays such as "Mrs. Minister", "Chorbadzi Teodos", "Marriage", "Auditor" and many others, and left a special mark with her role as Tevje in the top musical "Roof Player".
He has acted in many Macedonian films such as "Before the Rain", "The Longest Road", "Time Leads", "Verdict", "Mission London" and many others, as well as in numerous TV series such as "Ilinden", "The Magic Saddle", "In the world of fairy tales", but also in the popular Macedonian folk tales and "Hardliners", where his roles in which he played the dukes Hristo Uzunov and Dedo Iljo Maleshvski were especially noted.
He has collaborated with several national televisions and realized numerous projects in their productions.
The funeral will be held today in his hometown of Kocani.
