Folk singer Zoran Kalezic died
The popular Serbian-Montenegrin singer Zoran Kalezic died at the age of 73, after a long and serious illness, they announced Serbian media.
Kalezic was born on February 1, 1950 in Danilovgrad, Montenegro. During his career, which spanned several decades, he sold more than 15 million copies of records and discs.
For six years he was the president of the Association of Variety Artists and Performers of Serbia. He recorded a large number of traditional Montenegrin songs as well as songs composed in the spirit of Montenegrin tradition.
With a concert in Belgrade's "Sava-center" in 2016, he marked fifty years of work.
With his wife Irena, Kalezic has a son and a daughter.
