The French actress Anouk Eme, who was a true icon of French cinema, died at the age of 92. Her daughter shared the sad news with a post on social networks. She revealed that her mother had died at her home in Paris, without giving further details.

Over the years, Emme has starred in films of Federico Fellini, Jacques Demy, Sidney Lumet, Bernard Bertolucci и Claude Lelouch.

It can be said that her role in the movie "Man and Woman" ("Un homme et une femme"), which was directed by Lelouch, marked her fruitful acting career. For this film, Emme received an Oscar nomination for best actress and won the prestigious Golden Globe film award.
