Yesterday, the Ministry of Justice sent the request for extradition of Ljupco Palevski, which will be delivered through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through diplomatic channels to the Turkish authorities, and a judge of a preliminary procedure from the Basic Criminal Court Skopje accepted the proposal of the Prosecutor's Office and ordered him to be detained for 30 days of the driver who drove from Serbia to Turkey the first suspect in the murder of the minor Vanja Gjorchevska and the Veleshenian Panche Žežovski.

The Ministry of Justice announced yesterday that the original document was sent by DHL to the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Turkey and a scanned version was also sent to INTERPOL.

- We expect cooperation with the judicial authorities of the Republic of Turkey, timely processing and action on their part in the shortest possible time - said the Ministry of Justice.

The extradition request that Justice Minister Krenar Loga signed yesterday comes after Palevski's arrest in Turkey on December 5, following the international warrant issued on December 4.

Palevski is suspected of two crimes of "kidnapping" and two murders in a brutal manner. In the initial investigation of the Public Prosecutor's Office, four more people were included, that is, the co-perpetrators Velibor Manev, Vlatko Keshishov and Bore Videvski, who admitted their guilt.

According to the investigation, Vanja's father, Aleksandar Gjorchevsky, is also involved in the case, who is suspected of sharing information with the other suspects about his daughter's movements, and whom the Prosecutor's Office informed that he denied the actions.

Yesterday, a judge of a preliminary procedure from the Basic Criminal Court Skopje accepted the proposal of the Prosecutor's Office and ordered a 30-day detention for the driver, Stefan Dimkovski from Strumica, who drove the first suspect Palevski from Serbia to Turkey. His detention was ordered due to the possibility of escape.

The Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Skopje previously announced that an order was passed to conduct an investigative procedure for the driver of Palco. As informed by OJO Skopje, in the period from 01.12.2023 to 03.12.2023, the suspect helped Palevski not to be discovered for the two crimes for which he is accused, providing him with transportation by car.

- Now the suspect, after prior communication and agreement with the perpetrator who was in the Republic of Serbia, headed to Belgrade with a Land Rover vehicle with Strumica registration marks, owned by a legal entity. There he met the perpetrator and together with the vehicle they headed towards the border of Serbia with Bulgaria, at the Kalotina border crossing. They crossed the border on 02.12.2023, and moving through the territory of Bulgaria, on the same day they arrived at the border with Turkey, border crossing Kapitan Andreevo and entered Turkey. They were there together until 03.12.2023, after which the perpetrator stayed, and now the suspect headed with the vehicle through Greece to this country, where he was detained at the Star Dojran border crossing - say the Skopje Public Prosecutor's Office.

From there, they informed that a notification has been submitted to the Skopje Public Prosecutor's Office for another person who was detained in the police station, and the public prosecutor has assessed that at this moment there are no legal grounds to propose security measures, however, the checks for his possible involvement in a criminal-legal event continue.

We are talking about Palevski's lawyer, Vasko Stojkov, who stated that he personally took Palco to Belgrade, for an examination, because he did not have a vehicle.

The President of the Government Dimitar Kovačevski yesterday called on the President of VMRO DPMNE, Hristijan Mickoski, to submit the evidence he said he had about the double murder, which he spoke about in a TV interview for "Shenja" TV on Wednesday, where he stated that there are major flaws in the investigation into the murders and that the investigation started late.

– Regarding the comments of the leader of the opposition, in many cases he has positioned himself as an investigator and prosecutor, etc., I will not go into what he wants to do. However, concealing evidence, which he says he has, is also a criminal act, and therefore, if he has evidence, he should submit it all to the Ministry of Internal Affairs or the Prosecutor's Office, because it is really a heinous act, which was done by non-humans and which should be brought before the face of justice and according to the laws should be punished most severely - said Kovacevski.

In a statement to the media, when asked how long the extradition of the prime suspect Ljupco Palevski from Turkey will take, considering the information that it may last at least 40 days, Kovacevski replied that he still expects the extradition to be carried out sooner.

In yesterday's interview for "360 degrees", however, he rejected the accusations from the opposition VMRO-DPMNE that "the SDSM government, guided by party interests, nurtured a monstrous figure like Palevski, who grew into Frankenstein".

- I don't know whose creation Palevski is, but I will say one thing. If Palevski belongs to someone, then it belongs to those who organized it for a whole year, when I was being guillotined. Who gave me a public trial last year here in front of the Government? Who organized the throwing of Molotov cocktails on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs? Who organized the crowd that wanted to enter the Government building during the adoption of the European proposal? Which people were there, do you remember? You remember that Palevski was there as well as the president of the Left and the president of VMRO-DPMNE, and representatives of the media, and a member of the State Commission for the Prevention of Discrimination. You remember that I pointed out several times that there are foreign agencies that finance this, and for that you will have to do an interview with other people, not with me. For example, with representatives of security authorities. And if that Palevski belongs to someone, then it belongs to those who organized it all year - Kovacevski said.

When asked why Palevski has not been sanctioned even though, in the series of criminal and misdemeanor acts, he was caught carrying a gun for which he did not have a permit in May of this year, Kovacevski says that these are matters for the investigative and judicial authorities. He also pointed out that "that same group" made edited videos on "Tik-Tok" and of his minor daughter, and asked what the former president of the LDP and the general secretary of the Democratic Union did in meetings with Palevski last year.

- What did the former president of the Liberal Democratic Party do in meetings with Ljupco Palevski? What was the general secretary of the Democratic Union doing in meetings with Ljupco Palevski last year? What did they do at the meetings, what did they discuss... I have asked the President of France, (Manuel) Macron - if he knows in his embassy in Skopje, what kind of people are accepted for talks - Prime Minister Kovacevski said.

The Minister of Internal Affairs, Oliver Spasovski, also yesterday from Ohrid called on the leader of VMRO-DPMNE, if he has evidence, as he claims, to immediately hand it over to the investigative authorities.

- If those evidences are not handed over, it is a criminal act and that should be clear to all of us - emphasized Spasovski.

He once again sent a message not to politicize the murders of Vanja Gjorchevska and Panče Žežovski and called for responsible behavior from everyone.

- Politics or anything else in these cases of murders I think kills the victims once again and that is not good because there is no price that can be justified of this kind. I don't want us all to engage in politics, but to work seriously to the end, to expand the investigation, to reveal all the facts and evidence, and all those radical criminal nests, as I pointed out, must be exposed and completely destroyed because the feeding of such people, motives, etc., can cause serious consequences, said Spasovski.

He added that many types of communications that took place in the past period with both the suspects and persons outside this group are being investigated.

– So I think that many other answers will be given regarding the connections, etc., which were. It is important for the investigation so that those radical structures can be completely destroyed, said Spasovski.

Vanja, a minor, and Panche, from Veles, who were reported missing on November 27 and 24, were found dead near Veles and Skopje on December 3.

Six people are currently suspected of their murder, five of whom are in custody, and the first suspect is waiting to be extradited from Turkey.
