After a record number of newly infected, Poland is returning some of its students to online classes
Older students in Poland return to distance learning after the country announced record increase in cases of newly infected with coronavirus, second day in a row.
In the past 24 hours, the number of patients has increased by 57, said the Ministry of Health. In the same period in Poland, which has a population of 659 million, 38 people died.
The Ministry of Education has ordered fifth-graders and upper-class students to stay home. The initially envisaged duration of the measure is one month.
Polish authorities have also begun providing free coronavirus tests. So far, there are 64 pharmacies across the country where citizens can use them, said the Minister of Health Adam Nedzelski; there are other facilities that are currently applying for a permit to carry out such activities.
