On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Bitola Theater in Bitola, MNT, Drama and Velesh Theater will be guests
The great jubilee is approaching - 80 years of existence of the Bitola National Theatre. The commemorative program includes several guest appearances from theaters, namely: Macedonian National Theater, Drama Theater Skopje and the theater "Jordan Hadji Konstantinov - The Giant" from Veles.
The first guest appearance will take place on November 7, starting at 20:XNUMX p.m., when MNT will perform on stage in the Bitola Theater with the play "White Nights" directed by Zvezdana Angelovska. The cast consists of Ana Jovanovska and Damjan Cvetanovski. The idea of creating the play "White Nights", as the director points out, was prompted by the need to create a chamber theater stage version based on the sentimental novel of the same name by F.M. Dostoevsky, where the main characters The Dreamer and Nastenka are archetypes of two dreamer artistic souls.
The second guest appearance is on November 8, when Drama Theater Skopje will perform with the play "My Husband", based on a part of Rumena Bužarovska's short stories, directed by Nela Vitosevic. The hosting of the Drama Theater is part of the annual program of the NU Center for Culture Bitola for 2024, supported by the Ministry of Culture, which the Center joins in congratulating the 80th anniversary of the Bitola National Theater and the 80th anniversary of the Municipality of Bitola.
The play "My Husband" is said to be an attempt to face the present by revising the past. Sara Klimoska, Emilia Micevska, Natalija Teodosieva, Sanja Arsovska, Trajanka Ilieva – Veljic, Igor Angelov, Filip Trajkovic and Ismet Shabanovic play in the play.
The third visit is on November 11, when the theater "Jordan Hadji Konstantinov – The Giant" from Veles will host the play "Dinner for Fools" directed by Nenad Vitanov. The play is based on a text by Francis Weber and stars Faik Mefailoski, Blagojcho Stojanov, Zharko Spasovski, Talija Nastova, Jordan Vitanov, Kire Acevski and Sandra Tancheva.
It is a comedy that combines comedy of characters and comedy of situations. A story that comments on the high French society, which is oversaturated with everything it can provide, creates situations in which it can mock the weaker and less successful of them. Namely, the topic that is discussed is the meaning of what makes a person happy and the perspective from which it is experienced.
The commemoration of the anniversary will conclude on November 14 with the performance of the play "Gjore Magarevski - 80 years later" at the Bitola Theater. The play is directed by Blagoj Micevski, Sofia Ristevska Petrusheva and Jovan Ristovski.
