After Britain and Germany, it is ready to send peacekeeping troops to Ukraine

After British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said today that the UK is "ready and willing" to send peacekeepers to Ukraine, Christian Democratic Party MP in the German Bundestag Jürgen Hart said that Germany would likely be part of such a plan.

"We don't want to get into that war. There is a clear basis in international law for a peacekeeping mission in Ukraine that will ensure that the ceasefire and peace survive. I can't imagine Germany not being part of that concept," Hart told the BBC.

He admitted that this could put British forces "in danger" if Vladimir Putin launched a new attack, London's Guardian reported.

Starmer's comments came just before today's emergency summit of European leaders in Paris, organized to devise a strategy to counter US President Donald Trump's efforts to reach a deal with Russian President Vladimir Putin and his announcements to reduce US allocations to the European defense system.
