The surrender of the occupied territories, the demilitarized zone and the ban on Kiev's entry into NATO for the next 20 years are the details of the peace plan for Ukraine that Donald Trump is considering, reports the American Wall Street Journal, citing unnamed sources.

Trump's "peace plan" includes ceding part of the Ukrainian territories to Russia, but also banning Kiev from entering NATO, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing three people close to the future American president.

Trump advisers have said that different versions of a plan to end the war in Ukraine are "on the table." One of these plans includes keeping Ukraine out of NATO for another 20 years, the WSJ found.

"The plan envisages freezing the conflict on the current front line and creating a demilitarized zone of almost 1.300 kilometers. It is unclear who will guard this territory, but American forces will not be involved in the peacekeeping mission," the text states.

The American daily writes that the United States will not finance this military task either.

"We can provide training and other support, but the troops must be provided by Europe. We are not sending Americans to keep the peace in Ukraine. And we won't pay for it. Let the Poles, the Germans, the British and the French do it," said a representative of the Trump team.

The United States intends to supply weapons to Ukraine to deter a potential new Russian attack.

The plan also calls for Russia to retain close to 20 percent of Ukrainian territory that the aggressor's forces have already occupied.

However, Trump was presented with another plan.

Keith Kellogg and Frederick H.

"Ukraine may still try to regain lost territories, but it will have to do so through diplomatic negotiations," the WSJ reported.

Donald Trump claims he will end the war in Ukraine. However, it is not yet clear how he plans to achieve this. In his public statements, the winner of the presidential election avoids giving specific details about when and how he intends to negotiate with Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky.

The Ukrainian president has repeatedly stated that Ukraine refuses to give up Crimea and Donbas for the sake of truce and peace.
