Flames threaten the village of Breznica, Angelov assures that the village will be saved, there are 8 other locations burning

Eight forest fires are active, out of a total of 13 that were extinguished during the day, informed the director of the Crisis Management Center, Stojance. Angelov.

Five fires have been extinguished, and Angelov pointed out the fire in Makedonski Brod, in the atar of the village of Breznica, as the most serious fire, which threatens the village, but Angelov says that he is convinced that the village will be defended.

- Several helicopters operate here throughout the day, their effects are small, but there is a 40-member Hungarian team of firefighters who make a great contribution with the support of 50 Macedonian professional soldiers - said Angelov.

The second serious fire, he added, is in the territory of the Municipality of Demir Hisar, on the Ilinska Planina, where the situation is difficult, and the local population, local firefighters, representatives from "National Forests" actively participate in extinguishing it, but the vegetation itself, he says, creates smoke and makes it difficult for aircraft to operate.

Angelov pointed out that the fire in Ohrid, above the village of Kosel, is igniting again. He added that there is also a fire in Bogdanci, near the village of Pogana, and helicopters were used there, but as he said, due to the wind, they had to return. There is also a fire in Gevgelija, and the fire is approaching a military facility, Angelov said and added that the facility is being protected by the army.
