Plaques for Nikolov and Nachevski who judged the Olympic handball final
The Agency for Youth and Sports organized a reception for our best handball referees, who were part of the finals of the men's handball tournament at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, Gjorgji Nachevski and Slave Nikolov.
- It was a great honor and pleasure for me that our guests are the people who represent greats in the Macedonian and world handball. The decision to do justice in the final match of the biggest sporting event is a sufficient indicator of the quality and reputation you have gained in the world handball refereeing profession.
Our commitment is to amend the Law on Sports as soon as possible, in which, in addition to the athletes who exercise the right to the so-called sports pension with top international medals, this benefit should also have sports workers, as an indisputable part of sports in general - said the director of the Agency for Youth and Sports Naumce Mojsovski.
- This is our third Olympics and it was somehow expected after so many matches at the World Cup in Egypt, as well as seven matches at the Olympics in Tokyo, almost each of them a derby match, to get the opportunity to do justice in one final - said Nachevski.
Nachevski and Nikolov judged the final match on August 7 between France and Denmark, in which the French were better with 25:23.
He added that nothing is accidental and that in order to fight in such a handball top, and you come from a small country like ours, you must be three times better and of better quality than the others.
He expressed great gratitude for Mojsovski's initiative to evaluate the achievements of sports workers. Nikolov also expressed his impressions from the Olympics, emphasizing that for the first time importance is given to sports workers as an important factor in sports. As a sign of gratitude for all the achievements in the field of handball, Mojsovski awarded them plaques.
