Pipen fires the "flying" again: Jordan destroys basketball, LeBron is the best in history
Former Chicago Bulls, Portland Trail Blazers and Houston Rockets basketball player Scotty Pippen writes in his autobiography "Unguarded" that Michael Jordan ruined basketball because he wanted the whole team to work for him and therefore considered LeBron James the best.
Pipen and Jordan are considered the best tandem in the history of the NBA League, together they brought Chicago six championship titles, but their relationship in recent years is not the best.
This is clearly visible from the published parts of Pipen's autobiography. He first criticized the documentary "The Last Dance", which he believes was made not to mark the era of domination of the Chicago Bulls, but to glorify Michael Jordan, and now goes a step further.
"I will go so far as to say that Michael ruined basketball. In the 1980s, everyone passed the ball, passed it to teammates to help the team. That stopped in the 1990s, kids wanted to be like Michael. But Michael did not want to pass, he did not want to jump, nor did he want to keep the best opposing basketball player. "He wanted everyone to work for him." writes Pipen.
The legendary winger, who was recently selected among the 75 best basketball players in the history of the NBA League, goes a step further and writes that the "flying" is not the best player of all time.
"That's why I believed that LeBron James was the greatest basketball player to ever play. "He does everything and reflects what basketball really is."
