The Minister of Defense Slavjanka Petrovska announced tonight that the Ministry of Defense and the Army are sending emergency aid to deal with the aftermath of the devastating earthquake in Turkey.

"At the proposal of the Ministry of Defense, the Government made a decision at the extraordinary session to send a protection and rescue team from the Army, search dogs and humanitarian aid to friendly Turkey. 22 people from the Special Forces Battalion, two human guides and dogs trained for tracking are soon leaving for ally Turkey, to help save human lives, under the ruins caused by the catastrophic earthquake," Petrovska wrote on Facebook after the extraordinary government session.

We stand in solidarity, she points out, to help survivors get through these difficult times.

- We will always help a friend in trouble, wrote Petrovska.

The government decided today to send aid of 100.000 euros, medical personnel and equipment to Turkey.
