Petrovska: With NATO support, we are improving the capacities of the army unit for pilot training
The Minister of Defense Slavjanka Petrovska today there was a meeting with a team of the International Capacities Cooperation Unit in the NATO Defense Investment Department led by Joachim Hofbauer, with whom they discussed the capabilities of the Pilot Training Center, which is part of the Army's structure as a Training and Training Squadron.
The visit of NATO representatives, as informed by the Ministry of Defense, follows the meeting of Minister Petrovska with the Assistant Secretary General of NATO for Defense Investments, Camille Grand, in the middle of last month.
- North Macedonia is one of the allied countries that launched the initiative to create a NATO structure for flight training in Europe, which clearly shows that we are committed with our capacities to contribute to the development of collective defense and security, Minister Petrovska said at the meeting.
She pointed out that it is a center that already has visible and significant results and that the Ministry is committed to the advancement of its capacities, which will play an important role in increasing the opportunities for training and training of pilots in Europe.
At the meeting, Hofbauer thanked for the excellent meetings in North Macedonia and underlined that he is impressed by the pilot training facilities that will greatly help in the training of future NATO pilots in Europe.
