The team of MZT Skopje Aerodrom started the season with a trophy, after tonight's Dragan Vasilov-Cevka Super Cup overwhelmingly defeated TFT (100:82) thus defending the cup won last year at the same place in SRC "Calais".

– This is not a surprise for me, we deservedly won because we had control over the result during the entire match. Naturally, it is played for a trophy. Every trophy is important. I expected such a match from both my players and TFT. And I am very glad that the trophy bears the name of my friend Dragan Vasilov Cevka. I want to dedicate this won trophy to Dragan Vasilov Cevka, Ante Dukovski and Maki Lazovski who left us too soon - said Aleksandar Petrovic, the coach of MZT Skopje Aerodrom after the match.

This match was also a preparation for the start of the season in the ABA-League, where already on Saturday the Macedonian champion will host the current winner in this competition, Red Star Belgrade.

Boro Smilkovski, the TFT coach, says that his team was not at the level of a match that carries a trophy:

- First of all, I think that the epithet Supercup cup match only justified the atmosphere we had tonight, we certainly did not justify it as a team. We managed to eliminate mistakes and find character in the second half. However, it was too big a bite after such a bad half to win. What was due to our mistakes, what was due to the referee's ruling on the outcome. Congratulations to MZT Skopje Airport for winning the cup in the Super Cup - said Smilkovski.
