Five chimney sweeps will go to Germany for free training, the City of Skopje announced the public call for the selection of candidates

Within the framework of the project "Chimneymen for clean stoves and clean air in Skopje", the City of Skopje issued a public call for the selection of candidates for free teaching and training for chimney sweeps.

As informed by the city authorities, the project "Chimneys for clean stoves and clean air in Skopje" is financed by the Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development from the Federal Republic of Germany, and is implemented in cooperation with the sister city of Nuremberg.

- The project aims to ensure the control of air pollution in Skopje in a way that will provide conditions for holding free teaching and training for the renewal of the chimney sweep profession through the exchange of experiences with chimney sweeps from the Federal Republic of Germany. The training will be conducted by verified and certified trainers from SGGUGS "Zdravko Cvetkovski" and experienced chimney sweeps from the Federal Republic of Germany. The teaching and training will be carried out in a period of 3 (three) months and it includes theoretical teaching and practical training in real conditions - reads the announcement of the City of Skopje.

According to the announcements, the practical training for chimney sweeps will be realized in a period of 1 (one) month, of which 2 (two) working weeks of practice in Skopje, and 2 (two) working weeks of practice in Nuremberg, with covered travel expenses, as well as expenses for accommodation and food in FR Germany.

- Candidates who complete the theoretical teaching, the practical training and successfully pass the final exam, will acquire a certificate issued by a verified institution for chimney sweeps from Skopje and a unique opportunity to start their own business. The public call lasts 7 working days, until 05.10.2022.
