Bulgarian Prime Minister Kiril Petkov on Friday will report to MPs in Parliament of Bulgaria for the results of his visit to Skopje last week, as well as a meeting of the governments of the two countries held yesterday in Sofia.

As reported by BGNES, Petkov's referral will be held at the request of Bulgaria's largest opposition party Citizens for European Development (GERB) on former Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and will be the first item on the plenary session scheduled for Friday.

Petkov and Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski After yesterday's joint session of the two governments, they assessed that the atmosphere of expressed political will and the spirit of sincerity and openness that prevails at the previous meetings, lead to mutually acceptable solutions to issues of interest to Northern Macedonia and Bulgaria.

The two prime ministers told a joint news conference after the session that good neighborliness would be on a pedestal and that they would focus on things that had been forgotten in recent years, stressing that the agreements signed yesterday had "one end result - economic development of the entire region".

They assessed that the joint session of the two governments laid the foundations for the future rapid progress of mutual relations and made an attempt through concrete agreements to strengthen cooperation between Skopje and Sofia and to contribute to finding a compromise on disputed issues.
