Perinski to Gjorce Petrov: This is not an election campaign, it is the minister's obligation to visit the municipalities
The caravan with field visits to the municipalities "Where the Heart is Home", led by the Minister of Local Self-Government Zlatko Perinski, is today in the municipality of Gjorce Petrov, where the Minister will talk with Mayor Aleksandar Stojkoski and municipal councilors, as well as with citizens about the challenges and problems they face every day.

For Perinski, these field visits do not represent a premature campaign because, as he said, the Ministry's core work is local governments, local politics and regional development.
It is true that some consider this the beginning of a pre-election campaign, but I do not agree with this statement because the minister's obligation is to visit local governments and learn about their daily work in order to improve the situation. I sincerely regret that this ministry in recent years has not been visible and has not been up to the task, although as a department it is extremely important within the functioning of the Government, because it touches on two very important and essential topics, which are local politics and regional development. If these two matters are not treated appropriately, what is happening will happen to us - half of Macedonia coming to the capital, and 70 percent of the territory being emptied - said the minister.
According to him, the municipality of Gjorce Petrov is extremely important and specific because in addition to the urban area, there is also a rural part, so it is difficult to balance investments in order to ensure an equal level of development of the entire municipality. He indicated that today he will talk with local policymakers, and tomorrow with the citizens, whom he invited to a meeting at 18.30:XNUMX p.m. at the House of Culture. As he indicated, both the Ministry and the Government remain open to supporting all capital projects in the interest of the citizens.
Mayor Stojkoski also believes that the meetings with the minister are extremely important and stressed that they are satisfied with the cooperation with the Government. As he pointed out, they are currently preparing projects for the second call for financial support and will soon apply.
In the second call, six municipalities have so far applied with 35 projects.
