The performance "Abandoned Spaces, Abandoned Bodies, Abandoned Memories" will have its premiere in Ohrid.
The Cultural Center "Media Artes" will premiere the theatrical, location-specific play "Abandoned Spaces, Abandoned Bodies, Abandoned Memories" on February 16, at 20 p.m., at the NUCK "Grigor Prlicev" in Ohrid.

"Abandoned Spaces, Abandoned Bodies, Abandoned Memories" is the third stage of the trilogy of the project "All the World's a Stage - Immersive and Participatory Theater as a Tool for Addressing Social Issues and Challenges" of the Artists' Association Cultural Center "Media Artes".
"Abandoned Places" refers to the untapped potential of spaces and cultural heritage – places full of memories, metamorphosis, new perceptions, regeneration, mystery, rebellion, oppression.
This location-specific theater performance will take place throughout the premises of the Cultural Center NUCK "Grigor Prlicev" in Ohrid, exploring episodes and moments from personal stories, vulnerable situations and memories.
The performance will move back into the past and forward into an alternative future, in which the characters dream of being. The entire space is created according to the protagonist's inner world and the flow of thoughts that surface, revealing long-forgotten personal rituals, oppressions and promises. The more the character becomes aware, the stronger her need to free herself from the structures created for her, which she herself did not create. She begins to recognize the code of behavior that has been passed down from mother to daughter for centuries.
She is freed from the burden of the struggle for a place in history, learning how to be human, authentic in her assessment, desires, and ways of fulfilling life, ever aware of what she leaves behind when she is no more. She is wise, a warrior, a girl, a captive, a mother, a daughter; she is a healer and a singer; she is lazy and hardworking; she is everything and everywhere, and can be nothing and nowhere.
The performance is a creative process of collaboration between a team of actors and a playwright. It is an experimental theatrical work, a location-specific performance, which initiates a personal inner journey and deep immersion.
The performance stars Adriana Bilalović-Todoroska, Pavel Maslov, Biljana Bilalović-Veljanoska, Jasmina Vasileva and Jasmina Bilalović. The playwright and director is Jelena Vuksanović. The text is the collective authorship of the actors and the playwright. The costumes were designed by Pavel Maslov, the lighting was prepared by Ilija Leveski, and the executive producer is Jasmina Bilalović.
The producer of the performance is the Cultural Center "Media Artes", the co-producer is the NUCK "Grigor Prlicev" - Ohrid, and the partner in the implementation is the KSP "Centar-Jadro" - Skopje. The project is financially supported by the Embassy of Switzerland in the Republic of Macedonia and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
