Sergio Perez is the winner of the race from Formula 1 championship for The Monaco Grand Prix after the chaotic race in Monte Carlo. Second place went to Carlos Sainz, and third to Max Ferstappen. Home driver Charles Leclerc, who started from pole position, won only fourth place.

The start of the race was delayed by more than an hour due to heavy rain that stopped after the start of the race and drivers began to change tires in lap 22. Ferrari calls Sainz in the "box", and then Leclerc. Realizing the mistake, the technician told Leclerc to stay on the track, but it was too late because Leclerc had already entered the pits.

Thus, Ferrari ceded the first two places to Red Bull, and Leclerc shouted at the team on the radio wondering why they did it to him. Four laps later, Mick Schumacher spun on the track and crashed into the guardrail at high speed. Due to the force of the impact, his car literally halved, fortunately the young German avoided more serious injuries.

After the next entries in the "box", Sainz broke through to the second place, Ferstappen kept the third, and Leclerc the fourth place and the order did not change until the end of the race, although at one point the race was restarted due to a displaced barrier.

Thus, Perez came to his third victory in his career after celebrating in Bahrain in 2020 as a driver of "Racing Point" and last year's victory in Baku in the car of "Red Bull".

Ferstappen leads the drivers' table with 125 points, ahead of Leclerc with 116 and Perez (110). The next race will be for the Baku (Azerbaijan) Grand Prix on June 12.
