The number of American soldiers who died from complications caused by covid-19 reached 70, writes the American newspaper Military Times.

Thus, from October 13 to 20 (latest data), three soldiers died from covid-19, which is the lowest weekly number since August, and for October - 11 deaths due to that cause.
According to the newspaper, the US Army registered a total of 248 cases of Covid-865, from 19 to 13 October - 20, and in the previous week - 1282. While in August this weekly figure averaged over 863 thousand cases. From September it began to gradually decrease.
According to Pentagon spokesman Major Charlie Ditz, only one of the soldiers who died of Covid-19 was partially vaccinated against the disease. "None of the soldiers who died from covid-19 were fully vaccinated," he told the publication.
The number of US troops refusing to be vaccinated currently does not exceed a few hundred. So far, according to the Military Times, less than 10 percent of military personnel have not been vaccinated against Covid-19. They must be vaccinated by November-December or they may be fined or even fired.
On August 24, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin ordered a mandatory vaccination against Covid-19 in the US Armed Forces.
