The President of the Republic of Northern Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski received the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Abdullah Hoti.

At the meeting, opinions and information were exchanged on the current developments in the two countries, on the European perspective of the Western Balkan countries, as well as on the overall measures taken in dealing with the Covid-19 crisis.

President Pendarovski expressed confidence that the excellent bilateral relations between Northern Macedonia and Kosovo will continue to develop in the spirit of good neighborliness, and will be confirmed by concrete initiatives, which will simultaneously contribute to a prosperous and stable region and accelerated regional cooperation.

In that regard, the interlocutors exchanged views on the possibilities for deepening bilateral and regional economic cooperation, as well as for more intensive communication between the business sectors of the two countries.

"The global pandemic must not be an obstacle to further advancing economic and trade relations, and to intensifying mutual cooperation and support for the European integration plan and the implementation of reform processes." pointed out President Pendarovski at the meeting with the Kosovo Prime Minister.

President Pendarovski welcomes Agreement on Economic Normalization of Kosovo-Serbia Relations signed in Washington, as a step towards finding a final compromise, pointing out that it will contribute to the overall stability of the region.
