He emphasized that the condition for entering the EU is clear, that there is no other way, and made a comparison with Macedonia's admission to the United Nations.

Referring to the relations with the neighbors, the presidential candidate Stevo Pendarovski said in the MTV debate that in the European negotiation framework, there has always been a regional clause.

"The agreement with Bulgaria is mentioned in the European negotiation framework. Since 1997 there has been a regional clause every time you go to the EU, every time. And in the same sentence in the European negotiation framework for us in which Bulgaria is mentioned, the Prespa Agreement and the Ohrid Framework Agreement were also mentioned," Pendarovski said.

He emphasized that the condition for entering the EU is clear, that there is no other way, and made a comparison with Macedonia's admission to the United Nations.

"We can go way back in history. Since our membership in the United Nations, we all know, there are four conditions for becoming a member of the UN. The fifth was invented for us and we were a former Yugoslav republic for 25 years. We go as far as we can, we are a small country, we should not kneel completely and be beaten by whoever comes, we tell each other our arguments, but if someone tells me that we could have told them to accept us like the Republic of Macedonia in 1993, that was impossible although then there were people who conspired against it, but now the question is whether there would be anything in the country if we were not a member of the United Nations," Pendarovski pointed out.
