Pedro Sanchez elected president and Edi Rama vice president of the Socialist International
The prime minister of Albania, also the president of the Socialist Party, Edi Rama has been elected as the vice-president of the Socialist International.
The information was announced by the general secretary of the Socialist Party, Damian Djiknuri.
- At the 26th Congress of the Socialist International, the Prime Minister of Spain, Pedro Sanchez, was elected president, who received positive evaluations and full support from the Socialist Party of Albania as part of the great family of socialists and progressives in the world. Our leader Edi Rama has been elected as vice president, said Djiknuri.
The Congress of the Socialist International is being held in Madrid, Spain, from November 25 to 27, organized by the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party, PSOE.
The Socialist Party of Albania has been part of the Socialist International since 1999. This is Rama's second term as vice president, after the first term he won in 2013
