Pavle Trajanov, President of the Democratic Union and MP, submitted an initiative to the President of the Assembly Talat Xhaferi.

The initiative states that In the conditions of the third wave of the pandemic, as well as the appearance of new strains of the coronavirus (KOVID-19), with much more pronounced symptoms and more severe forms of infection, due to infected MPs there is no quorum to hold sessions of the Assembly, and due to the blockade by submitting With a number of amendments, the work of Parliament is becoming more complex and difficult, with MPs still at high risk of infection. So far, more than 30 lawmakers have been infected with the covid-19 virus.

Due to all this, Trajanov proposes:

- To increase the health protection measures in the Parliament, especially in the hall for plenary sessions and the premises where the sessions of the commissions are held. In this regard, I propose to inform the MPs through the Parliamentary channel when the session starts, when there is a break, how long it lasts and when it continues to work. Furthermore, in the hall, the MPs who have spoken or have replies should be present, and the others should follow the course of the sessions from their offices.

-To make a Decision without changing the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly, which will provide / enable ONLINE work. The decision should be of a temporary nature until the creation of conditions for normal work of the Assembly.

- To amend the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly, which will limit the amendment debate to a maximum of 10 days, except for issues related to the national and strategic interests of RSM.

-To provide safe health conditions for the operation of the restaurant (for the MPs from the interior), to provide its own fleet, etc. in order for the Assembly to be able to exercise its Constitutional function without hindrance.

- I propose to form a working group composed of representatives of all parliamentary groups and independent MPs, which will analyze the functioning of the Assembly and propose solutions

- In essence, I initiate to improve the working conditions and functionality of the Assembly, with the President, who is the first among equals, to respect the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly of the RSM, not to engage in long and unnecessary elaborations and to have the same attitude towards all MPs, adds Trajanov.
