Pope Francis' recovery after the operation is going well, but the doctors have advised him not to address the faithful from the hospital balcony tomorrow, so as not to tire himself. Sergio Alfieri, chief surgeon at the Gemelli hospital where the pope underwent surgery a few days ago, said the 86-year-old pontiff accepted doctors' suggestions, Reuters reported.
Pope Francis also agreed with the doctors' recommendations to stay in the hospital for at least another week. The head of the Roman Catholic Church underwent a three-hour operation on Wednesday for an abdominal hernia.
