Goran Pandev who left a big mark on the club and national team recently decided to end his career as a professional footballer.

Our former representative in a statement for "Studio 10" on TV 24 he said that he is ignored by the first people of Macedonian football and that he does not receive the necessary attention from Football Federation of Macedonia (FFM).

– People recognize my value, although there are those who ignore it. I hope that I represented Macedonia well and I thank everyone for supporting me. FFM has become a private football federation and I think that if something does not change soon, not only will we not progress as a national team, but we will also go backwards - said Pandev.

The former soccer striker says that it takes people who want to succeed in sports.

- I don't want to get involved in political matters, and here in Macedonia there is politics in everything. That's probably why the players are leaving. But that atmosphere is created by FFM. Everyone knows it, but no one wants to come out and say it publicly. We need people who want to succeed in sports - says Pandev.
