Pandemic traces left in the joint "2020. Diary "

Bosnian writer Lana Bastasic in late 2019 offered a group of writers of the latest generation from almost all countries created by the break-up of Yugoslavia to participate in the "Common Diary" project, in which each of them would write down what happens to them every day, during every two months, five hundred words a day.

At that time none of the six authors: Luiza Bukharova from Croatia, Diana Matkovic from Slovenia, Danilo Lucic from Serbia, Nikola Nikolic from Montenegro, the originator of the idea - Lana Bastasic from Bosnia, and the Macedonian writer Rumena Buzarovska - did not even dream. thought they would live one of the most challenging years of their lives.

- This literary project has grown into a book entitled "2020. Dnevnik "was promoted at the World Literature Festival in Zagreb the following year as well. The book contains 365 entries, which are not only a clue, but also literature that allows us to think soberly about where we are and what we should do, although we are more likely to continue as before. In this project were found the diary entries of six authors who uncompromisingly expose themselves and their intimacy in front of the audience.

- Thoughts and decisions, sometimes accompanied by fears and hopes, loneliness and rare meetings were their and our everyday life. To read about 2020, in which the admiration of humanity and the disappointment with it changed like lightning, means to dive again in its essence, through the eyes of others. The form of a joint diary is unusual, but this small orchestra plays in a playful way, and each small salt room is a small masterpiece - said the "Anthologist".
