Palestine celebrates the massacre in Jerusalem
Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza celebrated on Friday the terrorist attack in a synagogue in Jerusalem in which seven Israelis were killed and at least three were wounded.
Palestinian media reported celebrations in cities across the West Bank, including Ramallah, Nablus and Jenin, as well as parts of East Jerusalem. The videos show fireworks, celebratory gunfire, drivers honking, bonfires and crowds chanting in the streets.
In several locations across the Gaza Strip, dozens of Palestinians gathered in spontaneous demonstrations to celebrate the attack, and some emerged from pastry shops with large trays of the treat to hand out.
In the center of Gaza City, gunfire could be heard, cars honking and mosque loudspeakers blaring "God is great!"
After the synagogue shooting, Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem praised the attack, saying it proved that "the resistance knows how to find an appropriate response" to Israeli "crimes." The attack also supported the Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
