Unprecedented photos of the British queen Elizabeth from the young days, before she ascends the throne, will be shown in the new documentary that will be broadcast at the end of this month, announced yesterday from Buckingham Palace behind BBC.
The May 29 television program, during which parts of home videos of the queen as a princess from her private collection will be broadcast, will herald the celebration of 70 years of her reign.

"This documentary opens the eyes to a very intimate side of the royal family, which we can rarely see, it is wonderful that it will be shared with the public on the occasion of its platinum jubilee," said the BBC editor-in-chief of the historical footage. Simon Young.

The producers watched more than 400 films, including footage of state events, and listened to more than 300 royal speeches, the BBC reported.

Among the pictures can be found that of Queen Elizabeth showing the ring given to her by the prince with a smile. Philip, who died last year at the age of 99, before the engagement became public.
Queen Elizabeth II is 96 years old.
