Students with educational difficulties in "Kiro Gligorov" OOU received a new and fully equipped sensory room today, which is a donation from the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency TIKA. It is a donation of color changing sensory bubble tube, sensory fibers, sensory light table, light sheets and numbers, ball pool, swing, dark tent, trampoline and other contents.

The inclusion of these students in regular classes is part of the educational strategy, and the sensory room that will be available to the children of this school from today is just another small step towards fulfilling the main goal, which is their full inclusion. The advantage of this room is that it can be used by children who do not have verbal communication, but it is also used in situations to reduce anxiety, developmental difficulties, etc. I sincerely thank you for this donation, which I believe will contribute to easier mastering of the teaching material, will bring more motivation for children to study and research, but also to reduce stress and increase concentration", said Mayor Goran Gerasimovski.

The sensory room is intended for about 20 students from the elementary school "Kiro Gligorov" and it will be in operation while the educational teaching is carried out. Currently, sensory rooms are functioning in Centar Municipality in OOU Gotse Delchev, J.H. Pestalozzi, October 11, Kocho Racin, Kiril and Metodij, and from today also the sensory room in OU Kiro Gligorov.
