31-year-old Ivan Kamchev last week was found dead in a forest in Stipsko. The police announced today that the case has been resolved and that Kamchev was shot by his father, with whom he was hunting, in an accident.
The 54-year-old TK from the village of Dedino in Konche Municipality was arrested yesterday. He is charged with manslaughter.
Father and son were on a prohibited wild boar hunt on November 4. According to the order of the court, a search was carried out in the home of T.K. and items that are of interest to the investigation were seized. Local media previously reported that the hunter died in an accident. The initial version of his father, who reported the case to the 112 operator, was that the accident happened when his son was attacked by a wild boar while he was grazing the cows.
During the shooting, according to the father, he injured himself and was found unconscious by his father. Later, the emergency medical service confirmed the death. This version of the event was then checked by the police and the prosecutor's office.
